Somapur Mahavihar, dated since 8th century and is the most remarkable archaeological spot in Bangladesh and one of the UNESCO world heritages site, the best and well know Buddhist vihar in all over indian Subcontinet. Mahasthangarh, dated from 3rd century BC, contains the remains of an ancient city which was called Pundranagara, is one of the earliest urban archaeological sites discovered in Bangladesh so far. In this tour, we’ll take you to visit Sompur Mahavihara and Mahasthangarh to know about the ancient civilizations in Bangladesh. We also will take you to visit the chars (temporary river islands which is made from erosion of river bank) of Jamuna in Sariakandi where you can see the primitive life of people. The whole tour will be done with a reserved car.
Itinerary
Day-01: Arrival at Bogra and visit Mahasthangarh and surroundings.
Day-02: Sompur Mahavihara, and Bazaar
Day-03: Visit Sariakandi and drive back to Dhaka
