On this tour, we take you to experience some of the tourist attractions of the Chittagong region. The unique experience of Chittagong start with a pleasing cruising at Kaptai lake, you’ll visit the best Buddhist temples, visit tribal villages and bazaars and see how their lifestyle differs from the mainstream life of Bangladesh. Then experience the panoramic beauty of Sangu river in the evening on a boat trip and visit the ship-breaking yards which have got both national and international attention for many reasons and heading back to Dhaka. The longest unbroken sea beach which has added another dimension of this tour.

Day-1: Arrival at Chittagong by air and visit Chittagong ship-breaking yard and transfer to Rangamati

You will be picked up from your hotel or residence and transfer to the airport to catch the morning (the very first flight that leaves for CGP) flight to Chittagong. You will be board on and fly to Chittagong. After landing at Chittagong you will be taken to the fishing port of Chittagong to view the fishermen’s activities and this is an important place for the tourist who has got a passion for photography. Start drive for Chittagong shipbreaking yards area just after finishing the late breakfast at a local restaurant. We will visit the shipbreaking yards from the land or by a boat through the river and experience the ship breaking activities. Visit some shipwreck shops which are the just across the road of shipbreaking yards and where everything comes from the old ships are sold. A perfect place to buy some souvenirs from here. Start driving toward Chittagong city. Late lunch at a local restaurant with delicious local food. After lunch, you will visit Chittagong Commonwealth War Cemetery – a burial-ground of the soldiers who died in the Second World War in the eastern front. Overnight at Chittagong.

Day-2: Welcome to Rangamati and fascinating boat ride at Kaptail lake

Today just after breakfast, you will start heading toward Rangamati a distance of 102 kilometers and 3.5 hours of driving distance. You will arrive at Rangamati before lunch and check-in, freshen up, and lunch. After lunch, we will take you to enjoy the fascinating boat ride at Kaptai Lake for the rest of the day. Also, we will take to visit a Buddhist temple before sunset. Visit some tribal handicraft markets in the evening if time permits. Stary overnight at Rangamati (Parjatan Hotel)

Day-3: Transfer from Rangamati to Bandarban

Drive to Bandarban after breakfast. It’s a three and a half hour driving distance. Visit a small tribal museum on the way. After reaching Bandarban you will have many options to do activities for the rest of the day and depending on your interest Visit Golden Temple at Nilachal, and other popular tourist sites in Bandarban. Just keep in mind to reach Golden Temple, you have to climb a 60m / 200ft hill through paved stairs or After lunch visit the Bhomong King’s residence and the colorful native market at shailokup propat. One of the popular activities at Bandarban to have a small boat trip and walk through Bhom tribal village or visit Chimbuk hilltop (3800 feet high pick) by car to witness the spectacular sunset what you can do tomorrow also. Day-4: Full day activities at Bandarban: Tribal Villages and Sangu River

Yesterday after reaching Bandarban you had a very small time to explore Bandarban deeply but today you will do the rest of the activities that you could not do yesterday due to the shortage of time. You may Visit villages of different tribes in the morning to see tribal lives. You also will be able to see how they hand-make their own cloths, and also you would have an option to buy some of those hand-make products if you like from small outlets directly run by the tribal people, which is indeed big support for them. If you missed the fascinating boat ride yesterday then do it today as the boat ride at beautiful Sangu river in the evening, which is the most beautiful river in Bangladesh coming from India directly. Day-5: Transfer from Bandarban to Cox's Bazar

Today morning you are free then you will be transferred to Cox's Bazar and after reaching there check-in and the rest of the day is leisure time. you can do some beach activity or just spend some time nearby tourist spots. 

 

Day-6: Full day activities at Cox's Bazar

Early in the morning, we will reach the fishing port to see the fishing loading and unloading of the fish which is just caught from the see last night. If you are a photographer you will be lost thereby clicking your camera for million times, You will miss your camera even if you are not a professional photographer. After lunch, go to visit a fishing village and experience the lifestyle of the fishing community of Cox’s Bazar and this visit to the village unveil a scope to see the preparation of dry fishing center where they make and sell dry fishes in large scale all over Bangladesh. Free time at Beach for the rest of the day. parasailing on a beach outside the city is one of the favorite activities at Cox. Return to the hotel in the evening. Day-7: Free Morning, Cox's Bazar - Dhaka on Flight

Morning is free to do anything you like on your own. Transfer to the airport, and fly back to Dhaka on 11.30 H flight. Arrive Dhaka around 12.35 H, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at Dhaka (Richmond Hotel & Suites)

Good to know

Local transport inside the Hill-Tracts area will be by three-wheeler CNG (tuk-tuk). All the long-distance transfers, however, will be done by air-conditioned private vehicle.

Booking this tour at least three weeks in advance is advised as we need to take permission from the concerned authority for access to the hill track region. 

A bit physical fitness required for this tour if you are really enthusiastic to cover all the activity in the itinerary, as the Chittagong Hill-Tracts area is hilly region and some walks are there in the tour. You may avoid those if you want.

A special permit is required beforehand to visit the Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar which is not possible to arrange in advance from Dhaka. It is advised that visitors need to be present in the office of the authority in Cox’s Bazar physically to get permission on the day of the visit. On the day of transfer from Bandarban to Cox’s Bazar, we go directly to the office in Cox’s Bazar and take permission. In the worse case for any unexpected reason if the authority refuses to provide the permit, you will get refund the money you paid for visiting the Rohingya camps.

October – March are generally remain cool and comfortable, and less humid and thus this mentioned period is the best for travel to that region.
